  1. Definitions

“Customer,” “You,” “Your”: Refers to the individual, company, or entity utilizing our services.

 

“Consignment,” “Shipment,” “Item”: Refers to any parcel, package, document, or goods tendered to us for transportation.

 

“Services”: Encompasses all courier, delivery, logistics, and related services provided by the Company.

 

“Recipient”: The person or entity to whom the Consignment is addressed.

 

“Sender”: The person or entity initiating the Consignment.

 

  1. Acceptance of Terms

By using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, along with any other policies or guidelines referenced herein or provided to you by us. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and The Courier Hub.

 

  1. Services Offered

We provide a range of courier and delivery services for a Businesses only, including but not limited to:

 

Standard Delivery: Non-urgent delivery services with estimated transit times.

 

Express Delivery: Expedited delivery services for urgent Shipments.

Details regarding specific service levels, transit times, and pricing will be provided upon request, you can contact us for any information through info@thecourierhub.com email. All delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed, as they may be affected by factors beyond our control.

 

  1. Booking and Payment

Booking Process

All service requests must be submitted through our official booking channels (e.g., website, mobile app, phone, or authorized agents). You must provide accurate and complete information regarding the Shipment, including but not limited to the nature of the goods, dimensions, weight, sender’s details, recipient’s details, and any special delivery instructions.

 

  1. Pricing and Charges

Our service charges are based on factors such as the type of service, weight, dimensions, destination, and any additional services requested. All applicable charges, including any taxes, duties, and surcharges, will be communicated to you at the time of booking. We reserve the right to revise our pricing at any time, with notice provided through our official channels.

 

  1. Payment Terms

Payment for Services is due at the time of booking or as otherwise agreed upon in writing (e.g., for corporate accounts with credit terms). We accept various payment methods as indicated on our booking platforms. In the event of late payment, we reserve the right to cancel the delivery or hold on the delivery until payment process is completed.

Additional Charges

You agree to pay any additional charges incurred, including but not limited to:

 

Charges for incorrect weight or dimension declarations.

 

Surcharges for re-delivery attempts, remote area deliveries, or special handling.

 

Customs duties, taxes, fines, and storage fees incurred due to the Consignment.

 

Charges for return of undeliverable Shipments.

 

Packaging and Preparation of Consignments

  1. Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for adequately preparing and packaging your Shipment to withstand the rigors of transportation. Packaging must be:

 

Suitable for the nature, weight, and fragility of the contents.

 

Strong enough to protect the contents from damage during normal handling.

 

Securely sealed to prevent loss or tampering.

 

Clearly labeled with accurate sender and recipient information, including full addresses and contact numbers.

 

  1. Consequences of Improper Packaging

We are not liable for any loss or damage to Shipments arising from or caused by inadequate, improper, or insufficient packaging. We reserve the right to refuse a Shipment that is not properly packaged.

 

  1. Prohibited and Restricted Items

Prohibited Items

You must NOT send any items that are:

 

Illegal, dangerous, or hazardous (e.g., explosives, flammable liquids, corrosive materials, toxic substances, radioactive materials).

 

Controlled substances, drugs, or narcotics.

 

Firearms, weapons, or ammunition.

 

Live animals or plants (unless specifically agreed upon and compliant with all regulations).

 

Human remains, organs, or body parts.

 

Perishable goods without prior arrangement and appropriate packaging.

 

Pornographic materials.

 

Counterfeit goods or pirated materials.

 

Items requiring special licenses for transport that you do not possess.

 

Any item prohibited by the laws of United Kingdom or any transit or destination country.

 

  1. Restricted Items

Certain items may be transported only under specific conditions, with prior arrangement, and potentially with additional charges. These may include, but are not limited to:

 

Valuable items (e.g., jewelry, precious metals, currency, negotiable instruments) – subject to declared value limits and specific insurance requirements.

 

Fragile items (e.g., glass, ceramics, electronics) – requiring enhanced packaging and potentially specific handling instructions.

 

Antiques, works of art, or unique items.

 

You are responsible for ensuring your Shipment complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and these Terms. Sending prohibited or undeclared restricted items may result in the refusal of service, seizure of the Shipment by authorities, fines, and/or legal action, for which you will be solely responsible.

 

  1. Inspection of Consignments

We reserve the right to open and inspect any Consignment at any time for safety, security, customs, or regulatory reasons, without prior notice to you. This may occur at any point during transit. We are not liable for any damage caused during such inspection, provided it is conducted reasonably.

 

  1. Delivery and Undeliverable Consignments

Delivery Attempts

We will make reasonable efforts to deliver the Consignment to the Recipient’s address provided by you. If the Recipient is unavailable, we may attempt re-delivery, leave a delivery notification, or attempt to contact the Recipient to arrange an alternative delivery time or location. Additional charges may apply for re-delivery attempts.

 

Proof of Delivery

Proof of delivery, where applicable, will be obtained by electronic or physical signature of the Recipient or an authorized person at the delivery address. This signature will be conclusive evidence of delivery.

 

  1. Undeliverable Consignments

A Consignment may be deemed undeliverable if:

 

The Recipient’s address is incomplete, incorrect, or cannot be found.

 

The Recipient refuses to accept delivery or pay customs duties/taxes.

 

The Consignment contains prohibited items or is improperly declared.

 

Customs or other governmental authorities prevent delivery.

 

If a Consignment is undeliverable, we will attempt to notify you. You will be responsible for any costs incurred in attempting to return the Shipment to you, storing it, or disposing of it. We reserve the right to dispose of undeliverable Shipments after a reasonable period (e.g., 30 days) if we cannot obtain instructions from you, and you will remain liable for all associated costs.

 

  1. Liability and Claims

Our Liability

We take reasonable care in handling your items. However, our liability for loss or damage is limited to GBP 50, or the declared value of the item up to a maximum of GBP 100.

We are NOT liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, income, business opportunities, or anticipated savings, regardless of whether we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

 

  1. Exclusions from Liability

We shall not be liable for loss, damage, misdelivery, or non-delivery arising from:

 

Acts of God (e.g., floods, earthquakes, storms).

 

Force majeure events (e.g., war, civil unrest, acts of terrorism, pandemics, strikes).

 

Defects inherent in the nature of the Consignment (e.g., perishability, fragility).

 

Inadequate, improper, or insufficient packaging by the Sender.

 

Your failure to comply with these Terms, including accurate declarations.

 

Electrical or magnetic damage to electronic or photographic images or data.

 

Acts or omissions of any party other than the Company, its employees, or agents.

 

Fraudulent acts by the Sender or Recipient.

 

  1. Claims Procedure

All claims for loss, damage, or non-delivery must be submitted to us in writing within 7 calendar days from the date of delivery or, in the case of non-delivery, from the scheduled delivery date. The claim must include:

 

Your account number and Consignment tracking number.

 

Proof of value of the Consignment (e.g., original invoice, purchase receipt).

 

Detailed description of the loss or damage, including photographic evidence if applicable.

 

Any supporting documentation.

 

Failure to submit a claim within the specified timeframe will result in the forfeiture of your right to claim compensation. All damaged Consignments and original packaging must be retained until the claim is resolved to allow for inspection.

 

  1. Your Warranties

You warrant that:

 

All information provided by you is accurate, complete, and true.

 

The Consignment is properly and safely packaged, marked, and labeled.

 

You are the owner or authorized agent of the owner of the Consignment and are authorized to enter into this agreement.

 

The Consignment does not contain any prohibited items.

 

You have complied with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the Consignment.

 

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Courier Hub from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these warranties or your failure to comply with applicable laws.

 

  1. Data Protection and Privacy

We collect and process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website. We use your data primarily for the purpose of providing our Services, managing your account, and complying with legal obligations.

 

  1. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property associated with The Courier Hub and its Services are owned by or licensed to the Company. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any such intellectual property without our express written consent.

 

  1. Termination of Services

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services to any individual or entity at our sole discretion, particularly in cases of:

 

Breach of these Terms.

 

Illegal or fraudulent activity.

 

Harassment or abusive behavior towards our staff.

 

Non-payment of outstanding charges.

 

  1. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of United Kingdom.

 

  1. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be severed from the remainder of these Terms, which shall remain in full force and effect.

 

  1. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with any other policies or agreements referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and The Courier Hub regarding the Services, superseding all prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.

 

  1. Amendments

We reserve the right to amend, modify, or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Terms on our website or otherwise providing notice to you. Your continued use of our Services after any such amendments constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
